Tiberian Eclipse is a total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 3 that brings the theme of the famous RTS game C&C;Tiberian Sun to a whole new genre. BTE will bring the player into the war that rages between Nod and GDI and allow them to battle that in the past, has only been seen overhead. We have a lot of key and unique features we plan to implement into our mod that will set us apart from all others. Not only this, but creative liberties are going to be implemented into this TC. Although I want this mod to be recognized as a Tiberian Sun conversion, we are not strictly held to the style. Original objects from TS will be recognizeable (the Orca Fighter for instance) but will also be revamped with a new style. We do not feel the mod should be done to exactness because there is no creativity in that.

That's the reason why I'm not very interested in this mod. Virtually all the changes made from TS look bad in my opinion. The modeling style looks whack. Everything looks big and bloated while most things in TS were slim and sharp.
So your gonna judge playing a game just by the appearances? I'm sure they are not going for the exact same as TS.
As for me it looks great.
@Leonick: The Harpy was actually modeled from scratch by Three9 and not based on the PAC gunship. However, as mentioned in our latest news update, we will be increasing the polycount in our vehicles since Crysis can handle a lot more than the Battlefield engine, which we were original working on.
@MODDBUSER: I'm sorry if you don't like the creative liberties that our modelers are taking with respect to the TS units, but the modeling is certainly not whack, but you are entitled to your own opinion.

So why exactly did you have to outline almost every vertex on your harpy mesh with riveted paneling on the texture? I find this extremely excessive and distracting, not to mention unrealistic. Especially so when your other models, and the GDI Medium Infantry texture are clearly ace.
We will definitely take that into consideration Godwin. On the final version of the Harpy we will probably make larger panels that aren't so much based on the faces of the mesh
Also, I have some good news for most of you :P. After taking into consideration the design of the Harpy, the comments you all have made, and the fact that we no longer on BF2142, the Harpy will be re-designed with a rotor as opposed to a VTOL engine system :)
Awesome. The whole point of the Harpy was to show that Nod still used old-tech units, leftover from old wars.
