It's been three years since the last official update. Since then I have assured (or at least, tried to) my fellow Star Wars fans and passionate The Clones of War followers that the project wasn't dead and that I was still working on it through comments or the occasional post of a render. I fully understand that this was not enough, but I once promised that I wouldn't make useless updates and that I would only show something if I really had something to show. I couldn't even hold to that, posting the occasional random render with a minimal description. Only once since the development of this mod have I considered cancelling the project and never have I decided to do so.

The thing is that a lot has happened in my life, among losing many close friends and relatives to death. Too many and too much for a studying, working, naïve eighteen-year-old to handle. Enough for me to stand firm by the statement that updating this page was, for the past three years, sadly the least of my worries even though I occasionally managed to upload a render or two. I find it strange to have to admit it, but I am in fact human and I am young and I have learned a lot about myself and others and my place in the universe (if that makes any sense). And all the while, I had nothing new to give to my fellow Star Wars fans, whom I promised an amazing experience in the form of a Star Wars mod for one of the more unique strategy games out there. In theory, there was a choice between throwing a meal devoid of any substance or the occasional bone to perhaps keep you from starving outright until I could fully commit to the mod again. In fact, though, I failed to commit to either of those choices.

Yet here I stand today, respectful and humble, knowing full well how bad it hurts to track that mod you've been anticipating for so long, only to see it die and forgotten, to keep hoping in vain. Acacyn's Star Wars-themed Total Conversion for Operation Flashpoint back in 2005 is a personal reminder. Or the recent Warner Bros-MERP debacle ending with the development team closing its door. It breaks my heart.

Well I assure you, your hope has not been in vain and I will explain why in the next update, which I'll post before the end of this week.

Real life is always top priority, you don't have to prove anything to the people here. I say focus on your life and on the odd occasion you feel like it, maybe do some light modding.

Remember, you're modding for your own fun and not as a chore.

From what I read here, I understand that you're making this mod all by yourself. From one person who does that to another, I know what a pain it can be. Just remember that you're doing this gigantic task all by yourself and that's amazing. It is extremely hard to do; especially when such events happen in your personal life. Also, as long as people don't offer to help out, they have no right to bitch about things being slow. I look forward to your next update :)

wow man, i am realy sorry to hear that. I have wathced this mod for the past 3 years hade thought it was dead. But now when i hear what has happened i wish it was dead instead of this. Modding is supposed to be a fun thing and when your personal problems get in the way you dont owe us anything. Focus on your personal life and do this mod whenever you can. You have my and i suspect everyones full support regarding this mod and your personal life. You do your best and good luck and get well. I hope you all the best in the future!

You've showed us more maturity in one post than half of the modders here in years.
I'm sorry for your loss, and I wish you the best with all your affairs. From a fellow SW dev.

PS: There's quality too to your work, not just words.
