The historic setting is in the late Qing Dynasty, starting from the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement, to the Huai Army's establishment of resistance, and the invasion of foreign British and French forces. It presents a portrayal of a declining empire. Where does the future of the Qing Dynasty go with internal and external troubles? Playable faction include: Foreign Allied Forces (Britain, France, Japan), Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, Qing Dynasty Forces (Imperial Army, Eight Banners Army, Huai Army - Li Hongzhang, Xiang Army - Zeng Guofan, Green Standard Army) and Nian Rebellion Forces.
