Finally! It has been a long time coming!
Today we launch our new website design, created by David Wood and our lead coder, Axel. Be advised you will need flash 8 or higher to view it. Please excuse the long loading times; we are optimizing it. Also, make sure to clear your cache in case you’ve visited our site before. We took a very physical interface approach; science fiction with a touch of military influence. Even with all the little details however, we wanted to keep it fairly simple and easy to navigate, while still being visually interesting. We dealt with several web designers for this project, and David seemed to capture our approach better than anyone. Please drop by our forums and let us know what you think about the new design!
In other news, we have hired a new Art Director: Alex “FlyingDebris” Iglesias! He is a student at Gnomon and is an amazing artist. He has already begun to work on honing the visuals of “Talon 1-5” into a cohesive world. Examples of his work can be found at his deviantart: Flyingdebris.deviantart.com.
Lastly, we have begun voice casting for the characters of Talon 1-5. So far we have cast two roles. The first is the role of Captain Archer, who will be played by our resident military advisor: Sam “Shocktrooper” Hunter who can also be seen in Fox’s “24” and starring in the upcoming Dan Myrick film, "The Objective.”
The second role we have cast is that of Corporal Kennedy. We are very excited to announce that Marty Papazian, an amazing actor who can be seen in "Jarhead," as well as playing the lead character in Criterion’s first person shooter, “Black,” will be playing the role of Talon's surly anti-tank Marine.
Casting for the other members of Talon 1-5 continues.
This is a free mod, and these people are close friends of ours. Shocktrooper is on the team as a military advisor, and he frequently does acting work, so it only made sense to cast him as Archer. He and our Lead Designer Capital88 are good buddies with Marty, and he agreed to do the same. So, we ain't spendin' any money my man, :)
If this is a free mod, and it's doubtful those actors are doing this pro bono, how do you intend to get your money back on this?
Hehe, man, I only WISH we had the pocket change to pay for services. But alas, we're straining our bank accounts just to keep our website up, lol!
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is from our Producer.
I have to assume he's drunk...
