Star Wars Conquest is a Mount&Blade; module which transforms a medieval world into the far, far away galaxy... with the same premises than the original game, this module offers an open sandbox where the player can do anything he wants. Based on a Galactic map and hundreds of planets.
What you're seeing is the final version of the galactic map.
Planets, stations, shipyards, asteroids and interface.
All brand new.
--------------------
For those asking. Yep, we added a bunch of new planets to discover.
Also, we've created our own per-faction coloring system. Even outposts change of culture when conquered.
Swy--
ps: Now the suns are animated. Pretty cool.
Awesome....just awesome.
I invite you to compare them with older versions of the Galactic map ;)

The rest was done by me with some tweaks by Barf.
Sweet! :D
Erm, Sarapin is in the Core Worlds, so Yavin and Sarapin should be quite apart. Also, I think Christophis and Fondor seemto be too close here. On the other hand, it's hard to tell from the pics if the distances are correct, so I might be wrong.
So, can you show a map of the entire galaxy to see if anything is misplaced?
Also, is it possible to replace the planets with systems? For instance, when you're above a system (currently planets, moons, etc.), you enter the system (another map), where the star, the planets and their moons, asteroid fields, etc. are show and then you fly to where you want to land. I think it's gonna be a better solution - you can place multiple planets and moons in the same system and even make them bigger.
Anyway, the mod looks great! Downloading Mount&Blade now (it's gonna take quite a while!). Star Wars Conquest is waiting in the line.
Dude Sarapin and Yavin are on two different pictures.. You just need to look more carefully on screen. And on sec thing nope. That is not possible in M&B to make map in map.
They're in the same picture (in the top). Yavin IV is a little bit in the distance. The picture below shows Yavin closer.
No dude, those are two different images.
Changing planet positions is trivial. I'm not a Star Wars expert...
Anyway I promise to check them before shipping for avoiding inconsistencies.
As Evans says, the M&B engine is really limited in some aspects.
We can't do that, I think that turning Calradia into this is already an achievement. ;)
I just wondered if it's possible to do it. I know that modders are quite resourceful in finding solutions to problems and making stuff that's not meant to be.
For instance, there is a game called Freelancer. In some MOD, when you land in a planet (through a docking ring or in other mods - without) you find might find yourself in a new custom "star" system where there's land, atmosphere, buildings, etc. Then you can dock in some places.
Needless to say, in the original game landing on a planet was very differently handled - animation for landing and then a simple menu with few places you can visit - shops to buy ship or commodities or a bar for rumors or to find job.
So, I thought something similar might be implemented here - you go to a system and it transports you to another map.
For that is why I left the team. You don't care about anything of that. You don't care where lords are positioned, where the planets should be or which faction controls it. I tried to explain you a docen times that there are about 10 planet position inconsistences.
I had to fight 1 month to get a scene model in the game to get used. It didn't even matter if it was by vertex coloring, which is basicly space heavyless, and if it was totally needed to finish a location.
The way you have it now all ships need their stats teakened, for which I made research and comparison, actualy making tables with all the stats. So that every ship is different and as canon accurate as possible.
I don't think you've changed. So things aren't gonna change neither.
Don't get me wrong. You're out due your assholeness. :)
And the fact you can't do anything for yourself apart from re-skinning the other's models and asking for stuff... Basically without any talent.
Now, go troll yourself :/
Don't worry the planets aren't really that close together. ;)
What your looking at in that screenshot is actually several screenshots of various different sections of the world map edited together to give a wider example of what we have been working on: Img41.imageshack.us
It would be nicer to have full systems in the mod but simply that would require alot of time that is needed else where.

Still waiting Warband version....
:/ We aren't LucasArts.
This is a job of epic proportions that needs to be finely coordinated within a small team.
You have results, now we only ask you patience for finishing up details. :)

I want to point out something in this upload that's awesome, but I can't.
It's all awesome, and I can't point out all of it.. Or can I?
Epicness incoming!
Amazing
Me Gusta
What they said! about it being Epic and all that :D
Simply Amazing ;)
One of my fav mods of all time and for me the best M&B mod ever. Is the new content still updated the sameway?
Massive improvement!! :D
BTW did you guys tweak the animations of the suns since june?
*nods* It was quite distracting, so the movement is more subtle now.
IM GETTING TIRED of WAITING!!!!
This pic of the planets brings up an issue I have in game where if the planet gets looted, it stays a grey barren rock and is never beautiful again... is that how it is for everyone?
when will this come out ?
Its dead....
No, it isn't: It's on halt, waiting for better times.
We all have our problems, I cannot just happily ignore them and do the mod.
As you can see I'm still here, reading you, giving support and alive.
There are plenty of things you can do while waiting.
Like playing the still fun available version. ;P
I got this game just for this! I hope your happy... I am...
