Starcraft 1.5: Fusion is a series of totally converted Warcraft III custom maps designed to feel and play exactly the same as Starcraft. The project currently has single player and multiplayer maps designed and based on the original and newest Starcraft games.

Due to the recent updated patch (1.24.0.6372) for Warcraft 3: TFT, none of my maps from 2008 will play on Warcraft 3 anymore. So I've decided to begin updating the maps again and bring everyone back to the world of Starcraft.

Hey guys,

I know its been a long time since this project had any new updates and news. I decided to take a break from the project for a while back in Jan of 2008, as life outside of the project changed alot and made time to work on this project very difficult. But a coupler of days ago, i decided to updated my Warcraft 3: TFT to the latest patch (1.24.0.6372) to find none of my maps from 2007/2008 worked anymore after the update. The changes blizzard made in the latest patch have blocked all my custom maps from working not just in multiplayer mode but also single player mode as well . So I've been tickering with the maps again and i might be able to release a new maps pack with new maps that will work with the new patch.

So what does this mean for the project. Well I've had to make a few changes to allow the maps to work with the new patch and unfortunately I've had to remove a few essential triggers from the maps, most notably the Protoss building build placement system, which is now gone. Also the Protoss Carrier/Interceptor system had to also be removed.

On the positive side, I've been reviewing alot of the latest Starcraft II unit/building specs and have began altering the units/buildings/tech tree/upgrades and abilities of all the races to somewhat resemble the changes in the current alpha version of Starcraft II. I've also been creating new icons for the maps which will hopefully complete the User Interface further then it previously was.

Also i never released the latest version of the 'Boot Camp' campaign map which was almost finished before i took a break from the project. So this will be released along with the new maps.

As always thank you all for following me and my project for all these years. I hope this news will encourage fans to come back and feel as excited as i am to continue this projects great work.

Thank you so much Night_wolveX for this brilliant remake, I hope you can get it working with the latest patch soon, and hopefully there'll be another way of simulating the protoss power matrix. You think there is a way of simulating Xel'naga watchtowers? :P Also I really like the look of Scrapyard in the 3rd SC2 battlereport, maybe you could replicate that?
No pressure just keep up the great work! Thanks again!

Thanks for the comment Leowulf. I am definately working on updating the maps as we speak. Ive been looking at all the latest SC II information and videos on the net and Ive began updating unit stats and some of the new mechanics into the new maps. The best thing is the new patch allows for 8mb maps now which means ill be able to add all the things i couldn't add all the years i was working on the project. So AI Scripts may make an appearance after so many people wanted it. Ill make an update soon with hopefully some new screenshots.

Night, I'm a hardcore follower of this line of maps. I hope you know that you have a serious fan base along my clan members -- we host your games nonstop. However, they obviously don't work anymore.

I'm sure you know what to work on and what to add. But remember, YOU HAVE MANY SUPPORTERS, INCLUDING MYSELF! I'm encouraging you to push yourself to release the new versions!

If you need any help, let me know. A suggestion I'd like to make is to publicize and advertise your map more! Make sure you provide links all over your maps and descriptions (and websites) to a SINGLE forum/website/database where other people can connect and acquire all your maps!

Make sure your name is known, too! That way they know only "night_wolveX's" map is the real one.

Perfect suggestion. Obiviously i depend on the fans support and hope they help me to distribute the maps as much as possible whether that be via bnet or via providing links to the many download sites. At the moment i was planning to only use the moddb website as the main resource for the projects downloads and member gatherings. I found some forums sites either banned or closed my project due to various reason. There have been some sites however that have been great download sites for my maps project and i might look into continuing using those sites now as well.

The good news is PR (Project Revolution) my main opponent's project is now no more and doesn't work with the new patch now as well. So my project will be the only one out there.
