its impossible that anyone with even the slightest knowlage of the gaming community HASENT heard of the term Cell-Shading, but just for the sake of argument, heres a brief explenation...
Cell-Shading turns a game into a more Comicbook look... think and thin black lining surrounding simple textures and such... the game XIII is one example...
anyways... i was kinda supprised to see many cellshade mods for many other games, such as Elite Force, Doom3, Call Of Duty and even a remake for XIII... BUT NOTHING FOR RENEGADE...
so, as a designated niceguy i desided to try...
here it is, for all the masses, Ren-Shaded!

'nuv said... small update, Slitvirus made an exelent GDI APC and Orca skin, as for myself, im working on the Noc APC and the harvesters.
in addition... any talented texture artists looking for something to pass the time with, im more then willing to accept fresh bloo-MEMBERS!, thats right, fresh members, not blood, members.

I just saw that this mod was updated a year ago. Is it dead?
I like the idea! What would be cool is if we can play Single Player with Cell-Shading. Now that would be cool. Loonkin' forward 'till the release.
If this isnt a mod why is it on moddb? You have contradicted yourself. Lol dont worry.
Anyway. I actually really like the idea and if maybe there were a few more features involved, like over exaggerated models for instance, instead of skin changes it would have been great. And as staude said earlier. "That looks damn kewl" :) I am a big fan of anime, cartoons and such, so this would be really fun and nostalgic to play. If this is still alive, keep it up. I think its an excellent idea, just add some new models or make it like cell damage deathmatch or something. :)

i know this isnt a mod, DUH, even a friggin baby could make that out
the reason why i made this? dead simple, people like it, theres still 14year olds out there that play ren, and like to see a few changes here and there now and again.
tehre is no "quit moddb", that option was never in it, not for the users, nor the administrators, people tend to leave mods for dead, but at least here there can be some record of it, for other, more skilled people to take over, try again or recreate with.
per example, regenesis; left some ideas with me, and thanks to moddb, i know about its excistance, and so do other people.
also, not everyone has access to programs like photoshop or paintshop, or the dxt tools required to open and save the skins invloved, so not everyone can make these skins.
quit yer complaining till you know what yer talking about, or ill get delete happy and start hittin some buttons

renegade is a game, not a comic. it doesnt need comic skins. if ppl want comic skins they can download/make their own. just stop, or move somewere else.
