Our last couple months have been long and drawn out, but with much fruit to share with you all. I will be walking you through our team’s progress and highlighting a few key members. As with everything else, if you have questions or comments please share them wherever you will. We are quite active and always on IRC in one form or another.
Weapons
Two of our modelers, Mike Newall and Chris Horii, have been bringing together the weapons. The models themselves are pretty straight forward, but here is a brief overview of the weapons, in pictorial format.
As you can see, the weapons are a bit new, and untextured. We are looking for some artistic help with the textures and if you are interested in helping out please do let us know.
In the coming weeks you will see a number of media releases from our team, starting the new year out strong and ending with a couple tutorial videos on how our gameplay works. Right now, however, we need to get back to work on our mod. Take some time out of your busy day and join us on IRC. The link is on our homepage.
Some interesting weapon designs... should look good textured...
UE3 can support up to 10,000 triangles per weapon. The models are good but you could add a lot more detail to them. =]
Thank you for that quick critique about poly count. You aren't entirely incorrect, UT3 can support that, but it does not play the game very well when it has that many polys and 16 players running around killing each other. If you would like to help out with upping the poly count and so forth we are looking for more 3D Artists to help us out. You can inquire by sending an email to info@whitemod.com

This sounds a bit like Angels Fall First: Planetstrom, looking forward to see what you guys churn out! the weapons look sick! Will your Mod have a single player?
As of right now our focus is on Multiplayer. Once we figure out the bot pathing i think we can make the move to include single player as well, but there are only a couple of the game types that are really supportive of that vision.
