A time for a possible alpha release rapidly approaches. Yes I know I've said that before but this time we have a little more work to show for it. I'm expecting enough content for a very stripped down alpha to be ready in hopefully a month. This is if nothing comes up. But at this point most of the two races for the first releases ships are done. Buildings are still Wip but are more for show then any real function. Code is underway and textures are slowly being made. In other words this will be something of a base gameplay test. Now as I value feedback a great deal provided it's reasonable I will be requesting roughly 40 people or so for alpha testing maybe less. I will be creating a group this group will be set to private and the download. Now for the most part this mod will probably work best as a multiplayer, since even on hard the changes and additions to gameplay mechanics mean that the A.i is going to be seriously stupid unless they are set as the swarm, which plays alot more like standard sins but that won't be in for some time. So basically I will need the people that are alpha testing to have the time set aside for multiplayer matches I will also need to know their timezones so I can arrange some times for everyone to be there or at least a few people at various times of convenience. This is still going to be very rough in the end but alpha testers will continue to receive updates via the group page all the way up to the beta, provided they continue to give useful feedback.
Also something I've been neglecting recently is to say that we have recently had a nice bolstering of the mod teams ranks and have finally got ourselves some textures, among other things.
