On a mission to import the weapon models (and hopefully animations) of as many weapons as possible from CoD4, CoD5, and some other CoD games. When complete, I'll pack them together with a modified bot mod (credits to MeatBot).

Description

This is the SCAR-H with model and animation imported from Modern Warfare 2. Full credits go to Infinity Ward for the original game files. This weapon has been imported into CoD2 by The Law (xfire: sephylon) and replaces the Thompson ingame in Singleplayer and Multiplayer. Hope you enjoy it! :D

Sorry fender1, I have no idea how to do singleplayer character models at the moment. :P
If I'm correct, the source character rig provided with COD2's modding tools only works with MP.

source character works with both. you just have to use "animated" type for sp and "multiplayer body" for mp.

Ah, okay. But how do I change the character models in SP? Do I simply replace by giving my files the same names as existing files, or is there something I have to change via script?

@LawAndOrder
you can use same xmodel_export for both mp and sp compilation with proper xmodel-type setting.

but you cannot turn already compiled sp xmodel into mp xmodel (not without hex-messing with the xmodel of course).

as for actual ingame replacement you have 2 options - either give the new models an existing character name or edit character script.

Makes sense. I barely know how to script, so I think it would be easier for me to just replace existing characters by name.
A little side note: When binding a character's mesh to the skeleton, do I just select to parent joint and "Smooth Bind" to the meshes with option "Max Influence 1"?

Just realized that this download only replaced some of the Thompsons. Fixed it, all Thompsons should now be replaced with the SCAR-H.

This is a tremendous improvement over the Thompson. Plus abundant ammo. Only, my allies' reloading sounds are not audible. Plus the muzzle flash of this gun comes from around the center in my allies' case.

Those apart, ALL HAIL LAWANDORDER!!!
