Philippa Warr posted a review/critique post about my Max Punk mod for Life is Strange videogame.
First, I want to thank her for doing this! I'm glad to see that people are interested in such things like this mod.
Second, I've read commentary about "attractive" word meaning. I was confused to see awkward tension about this. Well, it was my fault. User baseless_drivel in comments said that I meant that "Dark makeup makes her appearance more “logical” than without makeup". And he is right. I've used this word in meaning "better" and totally forget about simple fact - this word can't be used as "better" in english language as I can see. I'm kinda "tongue-tied" guy (and I'm really afraid that my words can be understood in wrong way AGAIN), and I want to apologize about that.
Yes, as we can see after, she said that "it might just be a translation issue" :)
There’s also a chance it might just be a translation issue as the sentence is slightly clunky and the modder states they’re from Russia – maybe it’s language clunkiness. Interesting to think about where the agency lies when deploying optional mods though.
About other things like:
It’s worth noting that Max not wearing her twee outfits and original hair and makeup means there’s a moment well into the game which will lose some of its impact, as well as a couple of lines which, if memory serves, will make a bit less sense.
I'm totally agree with situation about alt. timeline - but I just can't do anything with this - game uses the same hair and face textures.
The mod works in most of the game, but when I skipped to a different episode the recap cut scenes features Max with her regular hair and outfits which was kind of jarring.
I remember this mod issue, I thought I fixed it everywhere, but as I can see - I was wrong. As far as I know it's impossible to fix it really "properly" (100%), sorry about this too.
I want to thank again rockpapershotgun.com for this post and I want to apologize about my bad english ;)
