Inherently Evil is now a Free Unity Game! I have converted this neglected mod to a free unity game. The game includes the original mod levels and more. The spider enemy is now physics based and procedurally animated.

After years of neglect, I have revisited this project and converted it to a Unity game to build on my game design skills. Enjoy this free project with all the original level design from the Mod and new textures and models. The spider enemy has been built from the ground up and is now physics based and completely procedurally animated.

Good to see it come back to life, even if it is now in Unity ;)

Very strange to see but a welcome surprise! I didn't even know you could convert so many assets to another game engine, right down to the levels!

It was a challenge for sure, the biggest part was converting the brushes from source format to 3D meshes. Fortunately hammer includes the ability to export as CAD files, from there it was just UV unwrapping and retexturing. Everything else was built from scratch!

Looks interesting...a pity for Source Engine, maybe it had yet the best physics. "Procedurally animated" you mean spider's movements are never the same?

yes, a peculiarity of Unity engine

Correct, their behaviours are the same, but their movements are all calculated on the fly, without any animation. This means they move along surfaces dynamically and their legs stick to nearby things.

Oh, so it's a standalone Unity engine game now!

Y'know, I think Source has better physics overall.
