Hello again! Welcome to the third dev diary of Global Pacification! Today it's going to be about the Marshall plan and events related to that.
First off, the Marshall Plan is going to be a focus for the United States`. The focus will set in action a chain of events for almost all European countries. Now, as we all (probably) know, the Eastern Bloc did not participate in the Marshall Plan. Poland and Czechoslovakia both had said they'd attend a meeting for it, but neither showed. This was all done because Stalin disallowed any of the Eastern Bloc nations to accept it. Now, opposed to the major hassle that I'd otherwise have to pull off, the Soviet Union gets to effectively decide whether the Eastern Bloc nations can accept the Marshall Plan. If the Soviet Union says they can, which AI Soviet Union will be very unlikely (although possible) to do, the Eastern Bloc members get an event whether they want to accept it.
Now that complex mess is over with, as soon as nations accept, the nations which accept (the rate of which is rather likely, except for Finland, more about that later) get a National Spirit, which is, primarily, about production of factories and the access to said factories. Countries would have more access to their factories and would perform better. This effect would last for probably three to four years. So effectively, the first few years are to give the countries a bit of footing for the war.
Now Finland is going to be different. Finland was not part of the Soviet sphere, but in order not to antagonise the Soviet Union, Finland had decided to also forsake the Marshall Plan, and will, as such, have a lower chance of accepting it as opposed to all the Western Nations.
Spain and Yugoslavia are also an important subject here. Spain will not get the event, and Yugoslavia is unlikely to get the event. Spain was historically isolated at the time (with limited success), and Yugoslavia had initially declined but the United States eventually sent help to Yugoslavia anyway.
Now, the Marshall Plan is not the end of the focus tree, the United States in fact gets several focuses after it. One of those focuses is to aid Yugoslavia separately despite the Marshall Plan. Another one will be drawing Spain out of isolation (this might be relocated and instead replaced by just supporting Spain financially).
I had initially planned for this article to be about focus trees, but I got carried away. The next one is (hopefully) either about events or focuses.
what about if the eastern bloc nations rebel against Stalin and accept the Marshall plan then the us can guarantee them to help them
What is Date of Releasing (I think it's wrong)?
