Planning for the new introduction to the FL:WT Mod

Posted by on

New mod, New intro. This is a rare opportunity for the Dev team (in particular me) to have a look at making a CGI introduction to the mod. I wont spoil the video by telling you guys what takes place but it helps understand the story behind the mod alot more. Making this EPIC introduction video is non-other than yours truly (Cheese on Toast for those off you that don't bother to read who wrote the article :P) i guarantee you it'll make you go "now THAT was cool...." ^^

On another note, Program Expert has been working on a program that will aid mod makers worldwide, that is specifically aimed at Freelancer enthusiasts, the name of this program is FL-Dev, a program of this type is LONG over due, it could easily be considered the FL equivalent of Visual Studio and is comming along nicely, so far it can code weapons in a matter of seconds! (this has been so far tested on the 104 guns for FL:WT and can generate the code for them all in 2 seconds!) The only leg work require by you is to fill out a Excel spreadsheet (other ways of importing into the program will come later on hopefully, all depends on what PE does and says :)) and itll import it and go YAY! \o/ and generate the code :)

Also, as to help aid other mods that we help advertise, Monkey Universe 2.42 release has been delayed to a problematic bug that was found in beta testing on the day of the release (the issues has now been fixed by noone other than Program Expert :P) so the release should be either today sometime or early tomorrow.
