Eight years after the end of the original Freelancer and the defeat of the Nomads, the four houses of Sirius have banded together to form the mighty New Alliance, successor to the Alliance destroyed in the Sol System by the Coalition eighthundred years before. The quarrels between the houses have stopped and relative peace has settled in. But a new danger lurks in the shaddows of unknown space. Hello everyone. First of all, I'd like to express my gratitute to all the guys watching the mod right now and those who will add it to their watch list in the future. The impact of the mod has been considerably larger than we thought it to be, expecially since it's for a game as old as Freelancer.

Hello everyone.

First of all, I'd like to express my gratitute to all the guys watching the mod right now and those who will add it to their watch list in the future. The impact of the mod has been considerably larger than we thought it to be, expecially since it's for a game as old as Freelancer. Be assured: you're interest keeps us motivated and pushes the project forward. Therefore, we are currently preparing to translate the mod's website into English, since I guess most of you don't speak German very well. ;)

During the last days, we have also worked as intensely as never before to prepare the new story line. For this, we have studied character animations and started an archive of all animations availible to us. Work to complete this archive will last for a few more days, followed by a phase of experimentation and screenplay writing, before we'll be able to start our first in-game cutscenes. Of course the rooms around the animations will also have to be designed first. Therefore, we may be trying to hire a few more modelers in the next weeks to speed up the process.

It is also very likely more voice actors will be needed in the near future, mostly for small story but also larger generic character roles. This voice acting work will most likely come as a side product of our further progress with the story.

So you see, there's a lot going on right now behind the scenes. Stay tuned! We may just be presenting some of our near-future results any time.
