Installation instructions
This update is mandatory.This update can be installed with other components (when installing full patch), or separately (only update install).When installing a full patch - it's necessary to unzip to same folder with other components/packs.
+++ ATTENTION: After installation the menu still shows v1.0.0 - this is irrelevant for the update +++
Requirements
- FM 22 is installed on the PC.
- Origin must remain closed. (To be on the safe side, check the taskbar to see if it is still active in the background. If so, close it. It is recommended to disable the autostart for Origin. You can google how to do that exactly)
- It is necessary to disable the antivirus program during installation. The FM Folder should be defined as an exception.
Procedure for installing the FM22:
- Download Update 1, unpack the .zip-File and run the installer (FM_22_Update_1.exe). The installer will normally search for the correct path, so you don't have to do anything.

If you have installed the patch in a wrong path and want to reinstall it, you have to uninstall it first. In the folder where you installed the update, there should be a file called "unins000.exe". You have to execute this file once before you can start the installer again to choose another file path.
The update takes up a lot of memory. So be careful and prepare enough memory.

To use the updated database, you need to select the "Editor database (based on FM 2022 database)" item before starting the game.
Update information
The main package of Update 1 includes the reworked database, the improved parameters and the 2D graphics (except badges and player images).
There is among other things a big Germany update, several reworked bugs and many new graphics. You can read the exact changes in the changelog in the forum.

player/staff data mainly in Austria, Germany, Spain, England and Japan reworked
Club data for national teams in Europe, Oceania, Africa and North America reworked
Names of many leagues and cups adjusted to current names
Correct participants for 1st round of DFB Cup in Germany and for 1st round of ÖFB Cup in Austria (works only if all playable leagues in the country are selected)
Added missing basque status to several players
No negative starting budget for teams
Improvement of staff attributes mainly in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal.

Sponsors adjusted (fan base is less important, multiplier for international cup wins was reduced, prestige influence was slightly reduced, sponsor multiplier for England was increased)
Ticket prices reduced
Previous version of UserContractExtension from FM21 is used again (to prevent side effects like Mbappe not getting a club)
Injury length for a shoulder corner dislocation has been increased
Smaller adjustments concerning the probabilities for the career end of players over 35 years of age

The Update 1, have tried every possibility but it keeps showing no valid FM22 directory have installed in D:/Games/FIFA Manager 13, your guidline to install the update is kindly requested.

No path by default displayed.
"FM22 invalid folder" whatever the path chosen.
Delete the New Folder After Fifa Manager 13 in Installation Path
If anyone has the problem "no valid fm22 directory", don't use Browse. Copy and paste (or write manually) the directory where you have installed the game.
For example: D:\Sports management\FIFA Manager 13 (or 14)

But they are .bin files which files you replace with??
For those who encounter the "no valid fm22 directory" error, it is a bug in the installer that adds "\New Folder" to the path when you use Browse to choose the location, whitch prevent the detection of FM22. "X:\Fifa Manager 14\New Folder"
Just delete "\New Folder" and you can start the instalation.
The path should look like this :
"X:\Fifa Manager 14"
if you installed the game on a drive or
"X:\Your Folder\Fifa Manager 14"
if you installed the game in a folder.
But in any case the path should end with "\Fifa Manager 14" nothing after that and you can install the update with no problems.

PS: The updates installer doesn't detect the instalation folder even when you installed the 2022 season correctly.
