Hello everyone and especially to those who still remember this game.
We want to present to your attention the most global project at the moment.
Now our priority thing in the project is to rewrite all the mechanics.
As mentioned earlier, this project is not just serious graphic changes, but also a complete rethinking of the game component in order to unleash the full potential of island themes with high-quality immersion in the journey.
The new mechanics will include high-quality animations, a variety of interactions with many items, inventory, shooting dynamics and player actions(inspired by Call of Duty: War Zone). In fact, the hardest part of the game is undoubtedly the mechanics. That is why we have been focusing on this for so long, and you don’t see many other updates, but they are, we are in no hurry to show everything at once.

Now we would like to show you the basic things that we have achieved:
In general for now such features with guns:
- Dynamic aiming (Modern Iron Sights);
- Inertia (dynamic micro movements in animations including);
- Tactical, fractional and empty reloadings(other types of reloadings are possible also...);
- Improved sounds of shooting and reloading;
- Improved aiming in optics (for now in the process the 3D aiming through the scope model like in modern games);
- A massive attachments system in development(wip);
- Two types of sprint (Like in COD: War Zone);
- Various procedural animations for variety;
- Ability to change hands on a character - submesh system (FCR: Work process (different characters ?) - YouTube);
- Finally separeted FOV for guns and camera (Features: transparent console + weapon fov (finally) - YouTube);
- Melee damage delay (for such guns as machete etc);
- Interaction with environmental objects(WIP);
- And many other details;

That's the basis of quality first step of our goals. And that is only the beginning. Our main goals are: brings to whole community new platform with the most majority new features like in modern games.
Far Cry Return is not just unofficial continuation of the original story, that is also different quality view on the game in general.
The main vector is: weapon mechanics, large locations, a change of day, a system of weather conditions, fast multiplayer net-code etc... - and all this in a high-quality form.

Yeah, sure, backpack is important detail and it will be added of course.
Looting system and loot detection is important part of gameplay in FCR.
What's about guns improvements like attachments for example?
Yes, sure.
Weapons are an integral part of the gameplay.
You will be able to upgrade weapons in detail, put on various stocks, mags, sights, gun muzzles...

And, as in my style, couple of questions for now about Return:
1) What about the underwater vehicles and combat in underwater?
And 2) Will shields drop from mercenaries who have them, and then these shields can be used in combat along with other (light) weapons?
And will be akimbo weapons/perk/skill (it's when you shoot from weapon from both 2 hands)?

1) Что насчёт подводного транспорта и боёвки под водой?
И 2) Будут ли щиты выпадать с наёмников, которые их имеют, и потом использовать эти щиты в бою на пару с (лёгким) оружием?
И будут ли оружия/перк/навык акимбо (это когда с двух рук стреляешь)?
A note about akimbo: I mean not pre-made models of weapons in two hands and animations for them (like in Matto 4), but something like making it dynamic, that is, at any time you can pick up or pull out additional weapon in the second hand byself.

Yes, I understood about akimbo.
For first it is not considered, since we have more deep hard mechanics and akimbo won't fit into them, though we'll think about it.

About shields from mercenaries - also yes. And what about percs with acimbo guns - for now - nope.
