DEAD CRY is a Total Conversion Singleplayer Mod playable through the Far Cry 3 Map Editor after installing mod and map files. The campaign will consist of multiple singleplayer missions very much inspired by games like Left4Dead, but with a Far Cry twist to them. The maps are all built from the ground up using assets at hand. Dead Cry will not merely be a bunch of maps or a mod alone though. It's as close to a completely new game as you can get. The campaign will include an immersive soundtrack, cinematic cutscenes, custom sound effects and voiceover work. Dead Cry is set to be released around Q3 2014 and is currently in Open Beta. You'll find trailers and gameplay down below. This page will be updated regularly.

Thank you all for downloading and playing the Open Beta! We still have a long way to go before this mod is finished, and we need your help in actually getting there! So, I've setup a survey where you can rate and comment on the current release. This survey covers everything from gameplay issues to the installation procedure, and will allow us to tackle any problems you might be encountering. When mentioning bugs or glitches, please be as descriptive as possible.

You do not have to answer every question.
Thank you for taking the time!

We've received a lot of comments about how to install and launch the mod properly. As such we will continue to clarify and inform you through the tutorial page: Moddb.com If you are still experiencing problems, the survey is also a good way to let us know. As stated before, more levels will go into Open Beta, but we will continue to test the mod one level at a time.

GCVos checking out!

May I ask what your setup is? We recognize some performance issues and will be optimizing the levels.

It's a combination of the levels and a performance hit you get when you run borderless fullscreen / editor ingame. Your graphics card is still rendering your Windows desktop while running the ingame mode and this lowers your framerate regardless of what game you're playing. I'll be further optimizing the levels and looking for better alternatives to borderless fullscreen.
