Black Snow V 1.05 bug fixes

- Fog distance reset on death
- More clues to solve some puzzles
- Pickup indicator not showing up on some items
- Some exploits removed
- CFG reset (no more rebels and combines)
*NOTE : The computer bug fix is still an ongoing issue, why it occurs on some PCs and not others is a mystery - if anyone have any ideas please message me! In the meantime, use "+jump" in console to force your character to jump (and therefore exit the PC)

What SDK base does it require? I'm not too keen on downloading another version.
It doesn't require an SDK base, just EP2
This game doesn't need EP2 actually. All mods based on Source Engine work without original games at Steam.
So how I play this game since I do not have HL2, EP1 or either EP2. Also I do not have the SDK base. I just can't start the game ~cHendler~ help me if what you've told is true
The game is mounting some contents from ep2, so if you don't have ep2 installed you might find some things to be missing when you play.
The bigger issue here is HOW DO YOU NOT own HL2. Missing out.

I wish this had a Flashlight.
It would be so much better with one.
I did contemplate that early on in development, but then you'll be able to use it on the monsters like a gun and that takes away a lot from the game.
I don't mean use it as a weapon, though you could go Alan Wake style and do that, but some areas are INCREDIBLY dark and I can't even see where I am going and I have a calibrated monitor that is accurate within 0.17% of 2.2 Gama, with 97% Adobe RGB.

Usually there is a way to use light sources to show the way (flares, cycling lights, etc.). If I do give the player a flashlight I would have to make it a weapon to conform to game logic, then we'd just be playing Alan Wake.

using "+jump" in console works as long as you are NOT trying to exit the book or the computer. I tried it just standing in the game and it worked but then I tried it while in the book and in the computer did NOT work.
Try bind "SPACE" "+jump" in console

This Mod could be a full game if bigger. So many original ideas and neat little tweaks, it feels so refreshing and I'm really glad I found this and got to play it :D

Well, the loading problem is fixed. The only problem is still that thing where you try to read a computer screen or book and can't escape out of it (though I can bypass it by deleting the config file before I play) and the computer in the room with twin beds next to the file room won't let me open any more files and I don't know if there is anything important on them.
But besides that, no problems. Well, except one and that is a common one I'm sure: Where do I go?

Do you have EP2 installed and played it at least once? If problem persist, try installing SDK Base 2007 as well
I have a problem,there might be a bug,but when I light the thermite,the game crashes!
Oh no! Try to locate the crash dump and send it to me, the crash dump is usually located in your ep2 folder. Make sure it is on the same time/date as the crash!

No, the game is mounting content from ep2 so it is required.

I love this mod, I Really do but the ending throws me off. I work hard to get all the stuff together and the puzzles are great, then suddenly, when I'm almost done. "Finally I get to get outta here and beat the game".
The ending feels like it throws all my hard work down the trashcan. If you say it will have a sequel then I understand, if not. The game is great but the ending could be better.
Hey Tobeas: Congrats on finishing this mod. I have been wandering for a week now trying to locate the snow cat track. I have the key and the fuel but can't find the track. I'm starting to feel like I'm going about this game wrongly. Having finished it yourself, maybe you could provide me some guidance as to what direction I need to go as I'm completely lost. My game still freezes when I try to ignite the thermite in the begining. Please help me with the problem!
I just want to know how to fix the space glitch is there a patch? I want to play the game yet it is impossible. I tried the +SPACE trick and everything. please just find a way to fix this or maybe get help from a nother modding company, maybe even change the default button for closing the book and computer!
I think these bugs are happening because of some peoples graphics cards!
