Game Details:
The game involves 4 teams fighting against each other while being able to control their own alien forces. Each team will have a base. The objective is to destroy the other team's main base to eliminate them. You receive money for killing enemy aliens and more money for killing players. The middle of the map is a choke point for a mass battle. The center of the map emits energy you need to use your abilities. Stay close to the middle and eliminate the enemy forces.
We plan to use some ideas from Warcraft 3 Mod Footmen Frenzy while making sure we stay original and implement many features footmen frenzy cannot provide.
We hope the player base of Footmen Frenzy eventually moves over to this mod since the Warcraft3 engine has many limitations.
Who are We?
Calsmuft and I are the lead developers on this project. We have worked on another project together earlier for 7+ months that was cut due to funding reasons. We each have over 2 years of experience in c++ and indie game development.
We are now looking at creating a standalone mod that can be offered to everyone free of charge.
TrojanMonkey is our level designer and handles everything done in the Hammer Editor.
John Valenti is our Art Director and also creates environment models
John Witt is our Sound Engineer. Creates custom special effects/music

We understand everyone needs to start somewhere. If you have little to no experience finding the right team to motivate you is the first step.
2D Concept Artist - Create concepts for new alien creatures and gui appearance concepts.
3D Modelers - Create low poly models for the source engine based on 2d concepts.
3D Animators - Rig and Animate the 3D Models made by a modeler to be used in game.

- Aliens are assigned a team upon spawn.
- Aliens will attack other aliens/marines on opposing teams.
- Disabled almost all Console logging default by the game, so we can see our own messages better.

I hope you know this is source..... an the money mod is still in the game but it is impossible to reactive it...
Sooooooooo, a bit like nazi zombies, but with aliens instead? SWEET!
For some reason I can't reply to rorios but consider this a reply: you aren't even remotely close. Google "Footmen Frenzy" and you will find that it is nothing even kind of close to nazi zombies. You control an army (of beasties in this case), not a single WW2 veteran... and you don't fight off AI-controlled hordes, but instead the armies of other players. It stemmed off from an RTS game - Warcraft III. And in fact in that game you had a Hero unit, not that I think there will be a Hero unit in this game...
The marines ARE the hero units. Aliens are strong, but fragile. The marines will likely be a bit more robust, thus, hero units.
Well kind of, but it wouldn't make much sense for the Marines to lead an army of the things that they kill... but whatever, its a game after all and anything can happen.
