1969 is a multiplayer FPS for the Unreal Engine 3.0 Set in a universe parallel to the 1900s Space Race where the moon has become a battleground for the cold war, players will fight as the US and Soviet Union astronauts against each other and themselves on the desolate surface of the moon. The setting of the game is fiction but heavily grounded in actual Space Race history. At present the game combat will be mainly physics based, using a 'Gravity-Gun-esque' air cannon to propell your enemies into things and things into your enemies. Gameplay will be both free for all and team based, with some (hopefully) interesting game modes instead of the usual capture the flag stuff. A complex physics based animation system is planned to enable players to realisticly fall and tumble instead of just unrealisticly bouncing into things. There will be no health points or H.U.Ds if it kills you in real life, it kills you in game. Without divulging too much, paranoia and communication will play...
