This new quest mod is another fine example of "quality over quantity", which is the most important rule for any creator (in any type of media), if you don't have enough skills, resources or time to put extra work and get perfect experience at every level.
That's why more contained and small quest stories are always the best choice to minimize risks of breaking something. And "Babyboomer's Safe" does exactly what it needs to do.
New little quest mod provides open new area with decent amount of gunfights (don't hesitate to bring your favourite companions with you, navmesh works good), some storytelling through notes and, of course, useful new weapon for your arsenal.
The story is pretty simple, but that "simplicity" helps creator to achieve high level of polished and mostly bug-free new content without another over the top "omg save this scorched Capital Wasteland once again"!
As for main additional weapon, it's good modified railway rifle type of gun which, sadly, doesn't have proper VATS configuration. So, be prepared to use that baby only "manually".

And as for technical side of things: no conflicts with most popular quest/building types of mods on Nexus, no game breaking bugs or dirty edits, but, yes, as already mentioned by author, I encountered significant overpowered model of Chinese Assault Rifle, which in my case (considering 50 lvl character with dozens of combat skills) had around 2000 DMG🤣
So, should you try this mod in 2023? Yes, if you, like me, prefer more polished and stable little side stories rather than another enormous, but unfinished and unstable (from gameplay and narrative perspective) type of quest mods.
Endorsement from me.
