Here's my two cents (prepare grain of salt to take with my observation).
The Shadowgrounds games are already here, but it looks like that that was an arrangement between Frozenbyte and Desura (perhaps facilitated by Jeff Rosen and Humble Indie Bundle team, I'm not really certain).
I suspect that LGP would only be able to (or wish to) distribute their original titles without involving each developer, as digital distribution systems like Desura sort of cut publishers out (direct from developer to distributor...), except for a few areas. It seems to me that publishers are now primarily in a promotion role, and of course boxed media (but I think those sale numbers are quicky diminishing).
This case is a bit unique in that Linux is a little bit diffferent, and LGP is probably responsible in some way for some of the original porting work, either in-house or by arranging the contract development house to do so. I know that in the past they have issued patches for keeping the games in a working state (more modern Linux distributions, etc) though I don't know what state the catalog is in currently.
That being said... it would be great to see any moddable games from the catalog added to Desura first!
I know that a large number of their Linux games they hired programmers to do the port for them. I am thinking of Majesty, Sacred Gold, X2, X3 and Knights & Merchants.
A large number of the titles were done by Runesoft and not by LGP. Soul Ride, Creatures, Candy Crunch and Hyperspace Delivery Boy had Linux versions from the developers themselves. In fact Soul Ride is GPL now and the mountain data is free but not GPL.
I have heard rumors that LGP isn't doing well financially so I am not sure how that would effect their titles from showing up on Desura, or if that is even true.
