I think SCIV is a better game overall. I think the only things better in 5 are the graphics and character creation (my complete favorite thing about it), I'm not a fan of the gameplay. It seems to me that whoever gets in the first hit is pretty much guaranteed a victory.
Legendary Souls mode is far too difficult, at least with Tira (who i use a lot). I have been playing the Soul series since SoulEdge (arcade) so am no beginner, but the Legendary Souls mode seems far too difficult to be any fun. Story Mode is a joke. I don't give a shit about Patroklos and his whiny sister (except when she becomes malfested then she is awesome to use). I want to see the story modes of the other characters - you know the ones we've been playing for the last 15 years or so?
There are a lot of other things I feel are lacking about SCV but I wont go into detail

well then u should definitely try Soul Edge its really fun! Trust me!!

Maybe next time. I used to play alot in chronicle of the sword in SC3 instead of the story mode. A Mix of RPG/fighting game.
Of course, I used to play it versus, always feel better played with friends and siblings.
I agree playing soul calibur with other people is definitely fun maybe more then the ai as for sc3 I've never played it yet but that mode sounds really fun
It was way more fun than the actual game. In my opinion, Namco should release this as different game. Upgrading your post, defending your position against incoming fighters, challenging vanila SC characters across the map (every SC character is shown as mini boss, some are way tougher to defeat).
More fun because your built character could learn few disciple from original SC, equipping their weapon and statistic (damage, HP regen, etc). Even better because your built character from Chronicle of the Sword can be played in Versus/normal mode.
oh nice i watched a full playthrough of it and i agree Namco should definitely make it as its own game its really good and now i wish to play it but i need SC3 :(
Surely nice if Namco Bandai did it. It will be another masterpiece of the Soul Calibur saga. Screw Tekken and its spin off. Soul series was way more awesome than it XD
I missed my old Chronicle of the Sword characters. Built 3 characters with better stat and higher level. Equipping em with Soul Calibur-based weapon. Health regens everytime I met enemies in one go.
Hm that kinda reminds me of sc4 when you can make any character use Soul Calibur or Soul Edge variants once you beat they're story mode once i did that i went straight to tower of lost souls with them ah good old heath steal XD
