The Swedish Game Conference – Demo version (SGC-D) is live

I've been working hard for the improvements on the overall graphical appearance. I've mostly been working on refining textures, making new specular maps for the shininess and new normal maps for the volume.


I'm particularly proud of the storybook about the Forest witch. For the pictures I used the
crosshatching method to make the pictures seem like they were drawn in late 19th century or possibly early 20th century

I also updated the forest scene in the prologue. I aimed to give it better ambiance, with an ominous yet comfortable feeling of walking in the dark forest. I tried to achieve that by making the bright flowers gradually taken over by the monochromatic green vegetation. I worked mostly on the vegetation and the terrain to avoid the flat feeling, which was hard due to the limitations of the unity terrain tools, but with a few tricks I managed to make the forest seem more alive by making thicker patches in a few places as eye catchers.
