Report RSS Making AI work together

This is a weird concept, something I've never tried so far. It's difficult to pull off because they AI aren't literally able to accomplish this.

Sure they can calculate the enemies in their own perimeter just fine, that's simple for them.

But they were never meant to calculate anything in an allies perimeter.
That's where the difficulty lies, there's also a lot of vague things going on as usual, the AI don't literally help during an attack, they simply defend an ally's unit that's near enemy territory.

It works though, even if it is a bit hacky. It also happens often, which is cool. At the moment it's pretty hit or miss, the AI sometimes combine forces and just end up sitting still.
The worst is when the AI use this to back up a back up force, which ends up being pointless.
I'll really just have to keep working on this until I get something great, or something terrible.

But either way it's really darn cool!

I was really surprised when both my AI helped me attack, hehe.
Now if only I could make the AI build turrets for each other, this is a problem which unfortunately.. Seems to have no solution, there are other major problems I wish weren't impossible to achieve.

But heck maybe there is something that I just haven't discovered yet, I mean I didn't think I could get the AI to use the chronosphere either, but after a lot of exploring and understanding I did it.

Anyways, hopefully this turns out alright and doesn't compromise the AI on team games.
I mean, if you lost to early brutal attacks during a compstomp, how will you fare against 2 AI teaming up on you "intentionally"?

It shall help renew the experience of fighting AI.
