So I've just started my internship at Galaxy Studios, I'm 3 days in. So far so good, they asked me this morning over breakfast (accommodation, food, drink and beer are included free in this deal!) if I wanted to stay, do I like it here. I didn't really have to think too long because even with the fact I'm at least 4 miles from the nearest town I am a) happy to be here b) looking forward to learning a lot and c) too poor to go home!
This afternoon I was asked if I would like to sound design for a demo project of theirs. I don't know if I can say anything yet, but suffice it to say, I am excited to be doing it. What I can say is that it competes against Dolby and has a following already; it's pretty awesome though different sounding. I can't wait to get started.
Anyway, for now I have to write up a list of all the companies associated here in case any of our gear breaks down.
