EQ Studios is a small independent game development studio based in Las Vegas. EQ Studios was started by 2 people in 2006. We were focusing on producing 3D art works for various clients including Nickelodeon. In 2012, we started developing a game idea. Then, we all became full time to work on the game since 2014. We are currently finishing on our first game, The Painscreek Killings.

How we do it at EQS

  1. Find a design concept usually a picture or live model.
  2. We model our props first. Keeping a very close attention to polygon count and proportion of the prop for better optimization.
  3. Texturing is the fun part and the most important part is UV because it effects the lighting and the irresolution of the texture.
  4. Using snipping tool we take a snapshot of the finished prop and post it on Trello for approval.
  5. After being approved the prop is ready to be used by the level designer.
