I've been slightly disappointed with the volume of feedback from ModMaker V1. I guess it's a utility for small audience, so I shouldn't expect the kind of response a I get from a mod launch. No bug reports, so there is that.
Meanwhile I have been polishing up some rough corners and working on a new tool. The headlines are:
- New RAD editor for configuring light emitting textures.
- New UI to show the mod download, unzipping and configuration process. The New mod wizard now also sets up the visual studio projects for you.
- SMD to QC has been extended to become SMD to Prop. It can also convert OBJ file models (a very common format) to SMD before processing them.
- I've added some help text to the Localization utility and had it automatically open your mods translation file.
Here's a screenshot of the new RAD editor
I am thinking I might make a RES file editor next to help with the layout VGUI editable panels next.
