Report RSS LIBERATION OF PARIS: Update #1, 6/13/23

Posted by on

Today, I finished planning, and began work on my Liberation of Paris map for Battlefield 1942. This map will feature many different landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, and Hotel Meurice. To my knowledge, and certainly do correct me if I am wrong, this will be first map in BF1942 to visit the City of Light. Using Battlecraft 1942, uploaded by Ytres, Moddb.com, I will be able to see this through. Basic progress has already been made, and the layout is looking wonderful. The map will include a section of French countryside with a small farm, that will then merge into a heavily defended Paris. A large bomb crater with ruined houses will provide a sneaky way through the defensive line, while Tigers and Shermans duel on the main road. A river with a small stone bridge rushes by, while the Nazi forces lie in wait at their infamous headquarters, the Hotel Meurice. Edits may be made to this plan for practically or other unforeseen reasons, however a lot has already been implemented, and I readily expect to release my first draft of this map by the end of June, 2023.

Cheers, BF1942
