I can't call myself a honorable person, in fact I can safely call myself the least honorable person in the entire history of humanity. A young developer living in the middle of nowhere. Shares left political view, likes to talk about philosophy, even if other people don't want him to talk about philosophy.

Report RSS Copyright in mods. And first party content in the comunity.

I who'd like to call myself a uncompromisable person ,In fact I'm the last compromising person in the entire history of the universe. And this usually gets myself in to a whole bunch of trouble. Most of those things happened when I have a personal opinion and the community has the other. Some times I think I'm right but then I realize that I'm wrong. Yep I'm a person who likes to debate however when I try to debate probably I see some kids reply "LOL !!1 . I"M like TOTalY AG3 with U !!1" Yep I know. I feel extremely ashamed for using this stereotype since I was one quite some time ago only without the 1771 and less annoying. There is nothing wrong agreeing with an opinion but sometimes an opinion can spread like gossip ( And I know this line sounds horrible ). Okay for example : there are 2 mods that use first party content. They hunger : Tactical Moddb.com and Half-life 2 parody Moddb.com . In They hunger tactical (I'll call it TH:T for now :3 ) steals maps from a fully commercial game and Half-Life 2 parody (HL2:P) uses compiled models from Half-Life 2. Well the difference between two of them is in the community. People hate the HL2:P because of it's stolen models but people COMPLETELY ignore this fact. Yes I know TH:T has way more work put in to it. But I think the real reason is THE LEADERS. Let's compare those two : One has horrible grammar and nobody understands him the other one worked on a lot of great modes and is a talented modeler and coder. So if a small person will try to argue with him nobody will take him seriously because he is nothing compared to him ! So I think bout modifications have to be deleted. I know I'm being very cruel here but thats how the world works. Now I'll go play some Afraid Of monsters : Directors cut for this Halloween night >:) ! Thanks for reading ! Have a nice day !

It's really difficult to understand your writing, it's very unclear and full of grammatical errors. Your conclusion is confusing and unclear as well:

"So if a small person will try to argue with him nobody will take him seriously because he is nothing compared to him ! So I think bout modifications have to be deleted. I know I'm being very cruel here but thats how the world works."

How is that cruel? For a inexperienced individual to not be capable of achieving the same feats as that of a other, more worldly and hard-working fellow, okay. There's no comparison really -- I think it's perfectly valid to side with the more experienced modder than the scrub wannabe who just learned how to change the colors in MS Paint.

Also, what does "how the world works" mean? That's very ambiguous and rather strange, given that the blog you wrote is about how illegal content can be allowed by people with superior skills and talent. But that doesn't disallow them from the law; as much as Saxon is my friend he does indeed use alot of illegal material in games. But any modder of the right mind knows that EVERYONE uses illegal content. Some more than others, of course, but if you are diligent and keep a open mind for a while, you'll notice that every established mod uses some form of illegal content. Whether it be a small .WAV file, or even a small article of clothing of a different NPC mesh of a Call of Duty soldier model, it is constituted as illegal. But Mod DB doesn't care -- hundreds of thousands of great and even sub-par modifications have been here for years with illegal content and have not been withheld in questioning.

So my criticism to you is: don't think you're getting anywhere by labeling the community a bunch of kids. Do more modding to further your experience and knowledge of this community more readily. And furthermore, committing ad hominem attacks to people is generally frowned upon. So I don't really respect your virtual aura in Mod DB.

I'm not labeling anyone. There is a lot of talented people in the community I'm just pointing out that people like to stick to the crowd just to prove that there right. And yes i know it's hard to understand my language (The irony is that I can the best English speaking student in school. I don't know for sure but that what statistics say.) Okay ! For example : a person posted a successful comment which got a lot of Carma points. And some other person posted a similar comment just to get the same amount of attention with no will to debate anything.

Also if you don't like some aura please back it up with how can I get better as a person or as a professional. Because criticism without that is similar to an insult.

Also about the stealing.

That might not be partly true but this line is stuck in my head like sharp nail in a plank of wood. Dunno that guy is a fat cat.
