Asteroid Arts are looking for extremely talented and experienced SpeedTree experts to work on our upcoming ambitious Western Action/Adventure entirely within Unreal Engine 4!
You will be responsible for crafting the lush trees and other foliage of the Wild West where players will be able to roam freely when not on a mission. You will use the tools from SpeedTree to craft a living and believable environment full of life for the player to explore.
Join our team to create next-generation worlds for exciting upcoming projects. Strong SpeedTree skills is a MUST HAVE.
As a Foliage Artist, you will be responsible for creating realistic and believable foliage assets for the biggest and best open world environments possible in UE4.
We prize an ability to demonstrate individual design skills; including concept and creation of assets that are both original and yet still keep a look and feel of their specific real-world references.
We will use UE4 to its full potential to get the most fluid and prettiest game possible.
>Sculpting, modeling and texturing trees and other foliage for next-gen game environments.
>Work within the map department specializing in landscape terrain art.
>Participate in R&D of new techniques to implement into the production pipeline.
>Proactively seek feedback from Lead Artist and Creative Director.
>Ensuring artistic style is consistent with defined visual style for the game.
>Experience using SpeedTree.
>Should be proficient at sculpting natural landscapes of varying terrain. (From grass to snow for example)
>Eagerness to learn new software tools and technologies.
>Ability to work in a team setting, under deadlines and time constraints.
>Strong technical background with the ability to grasp new programs and systems quickly.
>Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and motivation.
>Strong communication and time management skills.

>Professional experience in the game industry (NOT REQUIRED).
>Strong technical background with the ability to grasp new programs and systems quickly would be an advantage.
>Preferably worked on at least one released title.
