Coral is a Halo Fan Game that brings new Halo experiences to the PC platform. It will include an all-new Campaign experience about an outer colony planet called Coral, known for a secret Forerunner artifact buried beneath the surface. Step into the shoes of Spartan-3 Juliet-Team as the secrets of the facility- and the planet, is revealed. The Firefight mode will be reminiscent of Halo 3 ODST and Halo: Reach’s firefight mode, and the new Flood survival mode is a firefight and Call of Duty Zombies inspired endless horde mode.
Our team is full of passionate Halo fans from many different backgrounds, and we would like you to join us. We use Discord for all our communication, so if you haven’t created an account already, you can create one at discordapp.com. Here are the most needed positions:
//General 3D Artist
We need 3D artists that can create vehicles, weapons, and props in a hybrid classic/new Halo art style. You would be working with our 2D artists and the department leads to create the assets, and the use of Maya, 3DS Max, or Blender is preferred.
//Programmer (Unity, Web, and Applications)
We need programmers that can work in the Unity Engine (Version 2018.4 LTS, C#) to develop various backend elements like AI, and dynamic sound. We also need somebody experienced in HTML for a website, and your preferred language to create tools to aid in development.
We need you to help create various sounds for many different aspects such as weapons, environment, characters, and more. Any workflow is accepted, as long as you can provide sounds in a .wav or .mp3 format.
We need an orchestral composer that can create a variety of emotions in their pieces, and be able to put their own spin on the classic Halo soundtrack. Some parts of a few tracks may need to loop for things such as action scenes.
VFX Artists would be creating different effects for various different aspects of the game, such as various beams/projectiles, blood, and other various environmental effects. As long as the effects can be imported into/made in Unity, you are free to use your own workflow.
//Concept Artist (Scenery and/or objects)
We need 2D artists for weapons, vehicles, and other props, as well as for landscapes and scenery, to give the environment artists a guide to building levels, as well as giving a guide for 3D artists to create assets. We don’t have a set program that is required, so feel free to use the program of your choice. If you do art on paper, a scanner is required.
We could benefit from a few more animators on many different aspects, such as first person and enemies. We will have a variety of enemies that would require their own walk cycle, firing, etc, so demand is high. Blender or Maya is preferred.
Please note that these are unpaid positions, as we are legally not allowed to pay anybody to create assets for the game.
