Here is how one of the monolith leader ''Charon'' looked like in the events of Clear Sky, since the board game takes place in that time period.
Charon had VSS and USP on him.
Yes exactly, in Shadow of Chernobyl. But in Clear Sky i made up his own gear. His appearance in CS is more of a apprentice to the main Monolith squad commander at that time. However Charon has his own iconic weapon that he supposedly had in Clear sky events. Rumor saying that he killd Scar and took his VSS as a trophie to himself before he was made as the new Monolith Squad leader in Pirpyat(Events of Shadow of Chernobyl)
In Call of Pripyat Monolith taunt dialog says ''Lavi shram!'' That means, ''Catch Scar!'' Used in a sentence when Monolith fires their weapons at the protagonist. It is clear, that Scar was their biggest threat since he helpt Clear Sky to take over Limansk all the way to the NPP. So Monolith fighters became like a broken record by having the name Scar, inside their heads at all times. Its like they see him everytime they shoot at their enemies. Suppos thats why Charon took Scars VSS as a trophie weapon, when he executed him in the end.
Why you think he would have this gear? Should rather have Groza or F2000.
Apart from that, the rumor is that Charon actually IS Scar, after he was caught and brainwashed to be part of Monolith and took the role of leader for Pripyat region.
I dont think, i just made up his gear in Clear Sky :) I simply added it into the board game the way id like to. Rumors are like legends, nobody really knows and can be bent to use as ur part of a theory or story. I just made up my part of a story about how Scar was killd by Charon. I can make this card look like he got his Exo and VSS or Groza sure! no problem. But in my fantasy of Clear Sky, he is still apprentice to the main Monolith squad commander. Would he have Exo and his VSS in CS too, that would be just a bit dull since we see him the same throughout the years...trying to keep it nostalgic and epic aswell as something new in terms of characters. Thats why is like CS version. You can see how some characters looked like before since after the CS events most of the legendary stalkers died off.
