they all look too angular for my tastes... 5 looks like it's backwards lol... 4 is my favourite.
Well, guns are naturally angular, what do you suggest specifically?
Just for my tastes they are a tad to sharp compared to the other works you have created. I suggest beveling out your model when you make it.
Well, yea of course, that is one of the things you do when modeling guns from concept.
5 makes little sense in terms of internal mechanisms. You should have an internal functioning of a weapon in mind, then design artwork around it.
Well, these are concepts, and my least favorite is 5 too, Steffen was undoubtedly just playing with ideas, so please, no hate for creative freedom, lol.
I wasn't trying to criticize the design. I was just saying the layout could be better tailored if you have how the weapon will function in mind beforehand. An example being, pistol number 5 wouldn't be able to work off the standard magazines we use today, and if it worked similarly, it would have an extremely high incidence of jamming, and be harder to reload / aim. I was suggesting if you do odd designs like that to have technical details roughly in mind prior.
Concept --> design and layout --> cosmetic tweaks
Just throwing out ideas. No hate intended =/
Well, I appreciate your feedback, and I have used this before, but there is an element of creative freedom required, and number 5 was likely just a mind experiment.
If the gun is using Caseless ammo, it makes sense. Then it wouldnt have to have room to eject the case, only to go back and load in a new round which could be in the rear.
I think 3, but with the color of 1 and a more comfortable looking grip would be perfect.
Thanks for the feedback.
Now that I think of it, the colour scheme of #1 would be cool, contrasting the light grays and blues of the environment.
Got some SMGs coming at some point, waiting on a batch of fixes, but, there is a nice surprise waiting for Saturday...
On the point of the pistol, I did quite like number 1's style, although numbers 2 and 4 are my favorites.
1 Looks like a heavier caliber pistol and ruggid for rough use, 2 Looks like a small caliber weapons for personal defence, 3 Looks like a medium caliber for overall use, 4 looks pretty sleek maybe battery opperated for lazers? looks the most hightec, 5 looks like a submachine gun. Fed in from the rear with caseless ammo. I like them all xD if you dont mind, could i just model these?
If you want to model them, I would not turn down the favor, sending a pm, soory it took so long...
