The development of Stargate - Gates of Atlantis has officially been cancelled. We just cannot reach the quality we had imagined. Sorry. Regards, D0MINIK. Stargate - Gates of Atlantis is a First Person Shooter Stand-Alone-Game that's being developed by fans of the TV Series Stargate Atlantis by Metro Goldwin Mayer for fans. So it is an inofficial game, not an official product of Stargate Atlantis or MGM. It is neither connected to MGM, to the TV Series nor to the official game Stargate Worlds in any other way than being based upon these characters, technologies, etc. that MGM created in the Stargate universe.

Report RSS After-Christmas Update

Finally we're bringing a last update to you in 2008. We've been doing once again a lot of technical stuff. So you can see from our latest screenshots that we've got a brand-new graphical Heads Up Display in the upper left corner of the screen. It's fortunately been provided as free-to-use content, the author is TeMpLaR.

Day ambience and a cool sky texture come with our new third game mission. Although we have to admit these things are still... a little unstable. This requires and will undergo some more work.

New Team Member Frans Skarman has joined the Atlantis Expedition Team. He's working on cool new 3D Models for the game that we will hopefully be able to release with the next update.

Thanks to everyone who voted on our website poll. We now closed it and made something out of the results: The Healing System is now set to have the player start each mission with four Medi-Packs in equippment, each giving back 25 HP. Additionally, the player can auto-heal very slowly to a maximum of 50 HP when he stays close to his allies. Please take part in our new website poll, too. We're interested in what Operating System you use.

Looking back we can say we've begun the development of this game in September 2008 as a one-man project. I believe we're on a good way, working now in a team of four persons, looking forward to launch internal alpha version 1.1 very soon. The coming year may bring more good news and progress and hopefully a talented texture artist to our team we are urgently looking for. If you have skills, contact us, please!

See you in 2009.
