Hello,
Finally we are done with the small features as creating spaces out of any folder, thus skipping Windows explorer popping up. We also implemented full mouse control so you can jump around and navigate without using the keyboard, only mouse buttons or edge scrolling, also with just looking around with Oculus Rift.
We also added one small feature, focused item movement, while you drag something around, any kind of focusable object, (space, icon, window, POI, or anything selectable) camera follows the movement if you are focused to that object with MMB.
That feature is very useful while working on 2D screens, you don’t always have the real perception of the depth and position. So when you move stuff around, camera follows the movement. While wearing oculus rift, you dont need that functionality as the depth perception is more recognizable, you always know how deep in the world stuff is.
There are other small updates, features addons like choosing colors for spaces but those things should be there anyway so we wont talk about them much.
Since this update, 0.1.5, we implemented a 15 day trial, we need some support ppl!!
You can get SpaceSys demo the usual way, download it trough our forum, you just need to register there and under development you can find the download link.
The demo will expire in 15 days, you can get the licence on our web page, we need your support ppl, we are running out of coffee and ice cream, so don’t just look around!!
Next update will feature 2 of the most important features, opening application windows inside spacesys environments , and having a 3D context menu inside environments.
We talked about this before, but we will talk more in the following weeks..
We are also creating a kickstarter campaign, and we will try to be more active on the forums.. We are using all our resources now for development, but when we find time we will post here..
