Building on the success of Midtown Madness, this sequel puts you back into the front seat. Midtown Madness 2 has two expansive locales: London and San Francisco. The cities are well laid out for the game's many modes. The player gets to play through a "Crash" course mode as a London Cabbie or a Hollywood Stunt Man. Playing through the crash course unlocks new cars and races. The game’s cars range from common street cars to an Aston Martin to a double-decker bus. Midtown Madness 2 also has normal lap racing modes and a "free ride" mode reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto. Most mods are add-on cars, but there are also mods that add new map features.
