Lovecraft.” "Aiden, the lead character, has piercing green eyes, which should clash well with his wife Eva’s purple dress and porcelain skin; living in 1935, they work as a translator who loves short stories and a struggling artist working from home, respectively; their journey will take them both across the ocean from Boston to “a tiny little town in a forgotten corner of Europe” via ocean liner in 1935. What they discover was difficult for me to read; the influence of Lovecraft (and the dread he inspires to this day) was readily apparent to me."
