"FusionPlay – Heroes” is a unique card game that has an NFC chip integrated in each of the (physical) playing cards. These playing cards communicate with your smartphone to create an unseen gameplay that is fast and fun. The game is about two heroes fighting each other by selecting the right moves and triggering the best combos at the right time. Everything is controlled by the playing cards, your smartphone acts as a scoreboard and rulekeeper. This provides an unseen depth in gameplay for a physical card game.

We opened the FusionPlay Heroes boxes as they arrived in the office. This is the first look on the content that comes with the game.

We opened:

a Starter Pack, containing:

  • two heroes (7 high quality FusionPlay Cards containing NFC chips, for each hero)
  • the manual
  • a reference leaflet
  • two smartphones trays

The hero packs for "Kim Oh No" and "Titchy and Snooks", containing each:

  • the NFC cards for the hero (Each having 1 hero card and 6 action cards)
  • a reference leaflet (containing strategy guide and background story)
