Upon noticing that Adventure Mode, an essential feature of Corsairs Gold is missing from the GOG version of the game, I began working diligently on a mod to bring back and improve upon Adventure Mode in Corsairs Gold.
This brings us to the Adventure Mode launcher, which hopefully will be made available for download by the end of the week. The Adventure Mode launcher is a stand-alone launcher for Corsairs Gold which adds the following features to the game:
- Select from 13 unique locations to play a free play scenario (capture all forts).
- All four major nations are playable in each location, meaning there are 52 unique scenarios to play.
- Added a fifth major faction, Portuguese to each custom scenario. The Portuguese are in the game files but were never finished and made playable. In-game, the Portuguese are green.
- Added additional starting ships for each nation, including pirates and merchants.
- Ability to select your starting ship from all available in-game ships.
- Ability to select your starting gold.
