Finally, a real alternative to the worms series for mobile

Everybody knows “Worms”, the turn-based artillery game by Team17 which started in 1995, and has stayed very popular ever since. Generations of players have spent hours playing it with friends in front of their TV.

Although today, at the era of mobile gaming, Team17 is trying to follow the movement by making mobile versions of their main title, but the success has drastically dropped. Why is that ? Well… lack of adaptation to small screen, online mode not working or too slow...

That’s where “City Monkey: online battle” comes in ! City Monkey takes the same concept, a turn-based shooting game where angle, power, and wind come into play, but has completely rethought the mechanic. The game has been designed around multiplayer mode, so searching a random player or finding a friend has been made really easy. The games are fast, in duel mode, and the controls are mobile-friendly (it can be played with 1 finger only)

The lovers of retro gaming will probably recognize the reference to the game Gorilla, a game made by IBM in 1991 which is, in some way, the ancestor of Worms.
