Don't think, blast!!! Blaster is a top down arcade shooter inspired by games like Asteroids and Defender, with an audio and graphical style inspired by arcade machines of the 80's and the Commodore 64. The player, who's view is on their ship's computer, must navigate their ship around space avoiding or destroying asteroids, while collecting artifacts. Alien ships may lurk about however, and space isn't all empty and harmless. The game is built off Javascript, and has touch, keyboard, and gamepad controls. The gamemodes are Collection where the player must collect artifacts over multiple stages and Survival, where the player's score increases as they survive against faster more dangerous objects. The soundtrack will be available as a free download. The target platforms are Windows and Web. Support for Mac, Linux, and Android is under consideration to be added when the game is done.
