Prove that you are the world's greatest swordsman in Blade Symphony: a slash-em-up featuring a highly detailed and in-depth sword fighting system. Face down other players in skill-based tactical swordplay, in 2vs2 team duels, or participate in sandbox FFA game modes.
In this video I demonstrate all of the core features of Blade Symphony and include two duels in-game.
awesomesauce!
That's so hot! Looking forward to trying this out!
Finally someone realised that this is how a succesful swordgame should feel.
It really seems like they were inspired by the Jedi Knight series.
We were definitely inspired by that series ;]
I would pay for this...
JK games are awesome!
Agree if you ever took this to a custom built engine i would pay for this
this is really SWEET :D
looking forward for more updates
Ooh ooh, nice! I love it :D
I think all newcomers are gonna buttonspam and rage because they lose so much :P
I'll try not to faceroll on the keyboard.
And that real fight got me worried there for a sec because it looked like you'd lose so easily... hmmm, classical anime hero fight there :P
Lose first and win in the end.
Amazing
very innovative mod!
This has got to be the coolest thing I have ever seen.
thats really nice
Excellent! I always wanted a game that focus on a fighting system that is a bit more complex than the JK series system. :)
You should try out some of the modifications that are made for Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, mate. Mods like MBII and OJP/JKE are really good for some advanced swordfights.
OMG nice !
Very nice! One of the very few best mods out there.
How come some of the swinging animation looks odd? Like slashing downwards with one handed but it looks like your fapping your wrist instead of moving the arm?
I wonder if this game will allow movement slashes, like slipping past a person only to slash their back?
There's a few moves japanese samurai uses that focuses on slashing at different angles of the opponent.
It's really difficult but possible in the game. If you can catch your opponent with their back turned to you, a good angled slash will simply ignore any block they have.

Looks good, really looking forward too it.
I just hope all the animations are like, redone.
Why? What do you think is wrong with the animations?
That was so epic.
Very impressive. I love the fluidity of the animations.
This is really looking amazing. I can't wait to play it.
Extremely impressive. Good fight at the end.

It seems very unfluid, and looks kinda amateur compared to the rest of it, the models and mapping at top notch, AAA+ quality, but then the animations...
Maybe it's just my preference, it looks like the weapons have no weight to them, and I don't see ankles bending, or wrists turning. Also, way to much sliding, makes it look like it's lagging.
I dont think theres anything wrong with the animations. Yes, as far as i can see there some animation bugs but the animations look goods for me. It seems you never have seen really bad animations. ;)
I kinda curious, how the execute the different attack and blocking-moves via the keyboard. Looks more like a game-pad game to me.
Reminds me of my fencing days.
Epic.
IMO the directional attacks are too similar. I think you should remove all the white from the side attacks so that you can easily differentiate the forward attack from the others and all the blue from the right (green) attack so that it's easier to tell apart from purple (left) attacks.
Mod for a mod: lightsabers anyone?
awesome mod. Can't wait
Okay, Are you guys planning on making the fights more vertical some how or is just flat arenas on the agenda at the moment?
Looks great! I really want to try it for myself!
Blood?
I think you guys should make skill (and mana)
W00W THIS LOOKS AWESOME!! , CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK THE IDLE ANIMATION, make it a litle bit smother, just imagine yourself, if you we're in this place wearing this sword and stuff, would you keep shaking you self up and down like that? , besides that, everything is great, this is just a opinio, you don't need to change it if you think is really cool...
Would be cool if they did a crash Bandacoot type thing where after you were running or fighting for a long time, the idle would start out as a heaving pant animation and smooth out to something more controlled.
The only thing I don't like are the vocalizations.
The battle-gameplay concept reminds me a bit of that open-source game (that came with the 'humble indie bundle') Lugaru (and its successor, Overgrowth, which is looking amazing). I like the idea of colour matching to block moves.
EPIC!
this game would work great with a gamepad such as the xbox 360 controller.
And a lock on system (as in demon's souls or zelda ocarina of time) would be nice too.
Any chance you guys make Black Mamba from Kill Bill as a secret character to play with?
