Podcast17 Interview

The guys over at Podcast17 invited us for an interview on their latest podcast. Above is a snippet of the whole podcast, featuring our interview. It's a bit on the long side, clocking in at over 30 minutes, but if you're interested in the development of Berimbau and where we are headed, it's definitely worth a listen.

The HUD

Berimbau HUD Concept

One of the main things we've been working on is a more informative HUD to present all pertinent information to the player in a concise and easy to read manner. As you can see from the screenshot, we have a HUD very similar to a fighting game, with the player's health and stamina prominently displayed. In the left corner, you see your current stance, shown by a silhoutte. In the upper right, a system to show your impacts, blocks and misses. A huge thanks goes out to Nic for this concept.

Beta Testing

We're going to be pulling more testers into the fold as we tune the mod more and more towards being as user friendly and accessible as possible. Therefore, we've opened up our Steam Community and are asking anyone interested in playtesting Berimbau to join up. We'll be inviting players directly from the Steam Community to test the game.

Already voted for this and some other mods some time ago, something I'm really interested in :D

also joined that group, I'm a mod developer myself though and I may be in a different timezone so I'm not the most ideal person for testing :)
