Beyond Good & Evil is an action-adventure game with elements of puzzle-solving and stealth-based games. The player controls the protagonist, Jade, from a third-person perspective. The planet Hyllis has been bombarded by a relentless alien race. Skeptical of her government's inability to repel the invaders, a rebellious action reporter named Jade sets out to capture the truth. Armed with her camera, dai-jo staff, and fierce determination, she discovers shocking evidence leading to a horrific government conspiracy, and is forced to battle an evil she cannot possibly fathom.
One of my favourite childhood memories. With a vast landscape and beautiful graphics, Beyond Good and Evil entangles it's players into the fascinating world of Hillys (Or Hyllis). But it is not just the stunning visuals that carry it's fame. Jade, the protagonist, is a young and lively woman reporter accompanied by her adoptive uncle, Pey'j. Together they unravel the darkest deceitful secrets of the engaging storyline. The last thing that deserves attention is the music - One of the weirdest and most beautiful of any game soundtrack I have heard. Give it a try, 10/10.
