I fixed an issue with it just now. It wasn't loading the 3rd person textures properly, for certain maps only like P01_Jungle, P05_Lab , some DLC MP maps.

That has been fixed. If you see any super black on the model ANYWHERE ingame please let me know.

I'm REALLY trying to avoid having people modify their base game content for these kinds of mods!

Oh ok FULL is the full mod, has the textures and the core.

Seperate is simply them seperated. Textures and Core split into two ASRs

Its mainly for other modders so they can customize it.

It is ready, however. It is kinda pointless. I'm wondering if I upload the vanilla one then modify the FX for it to make it into my own.

Basically, its just a red vision mode, with some nice white outlines. it was intended for Androids but they ended up not even finishing the material override for it and it doesnt highlight them.

It is ready to upload aside from one little glitch on P04.

As for Marine NightVision, the vision mode is theres, and all of the HDR settings and such. It even references the FSFXTemplate called AVP_VisionNight... however.. this FSFX does not exist. even in the many dev builds for the game. This means i will make my own FSFX template for it.

I'm going to work on some textures again soon.

Bah!

I need to make a texture mod for the multiplayer blades since i made one already for the regular.

I also have some special requests from a few people to make some textures for their clan, so I have to work on that stuff.

It's so tedious lol. I typically make my textures from scratch.

But, while i am doing this, i can go ahead and make some stuff I would need for my improvements to Marine Night Vision ( Basically for adding in the FSFX it needs , i have some cool stuff planned). While im at it, i'll do my own heat vision.

Alright. I'll go ahead and upload the game's vanilla pred_tech vision tonight or tomorrow . They never finished the material overrides for this, so nothing will be highlighted in-game like they are for HeatVision and AlienVision.

It does make everything red with some cool white effects, and stuff is more visible IMO. I was really wanting to complete the AMRO/RSCF MRT Shaders for this to complete it. but ill go ahead and upload it anyways as a "vanilla" one .

I am going to make it so it unlocks after you obtain the pred lord mask in campaign.

it will be a third vision mode. after the Alien VIsion.

I wanna some ultimate AVP movie experience ;)
As I said it would be neat to change starting "Dark" mask to classic Predator 1 or Scar an then later the game the "Lord" mask to Celtic or Wolf one. Also maybe change spear,disc and wrist blades textures to more AVP Movie accurate style. And foremost! Is it possible to make alien and human corpses, guts and gore to stay longer on the level? (I hate when aliens just vaporizing after few seconds). Also I wonder if it possible to change predator tutorial map to some sort of unlimited waves survival arena? (just for fun)

yes, that would be cool for the masks! For the weapons textures i could probably do those at some point if they dont already exist/ arent good enough.

I am already considering doing some work on the SP survival modes to support various play modes. Playing as a predator and fending off aliens or marines (seperate mods for each mode at this point). Potentially with the possibility of replacing some enemies with say an Alien Queen or Predalien.

As for an Alien surival mode, i can actually utilize the predator AI we see in Alien Ruins Mission to switch out Alien enemies to Predator Enemies via a few means like BLUE,ENTI's,ETC. or even switch them to marines/smart gun marines/androids

No need to edit the tutorial map, I would not think.

As for the despawning of debris entities,(to make them stay longer) I have not yet found where this is located /researched where to set this variable.

I'm fairly certain this could be some float inside of a certain BLUE chunk that is delegated to each entry. Or perhaps it is specific to the map. I am not sure at this time. need to research this.

I notice there is a lack of regular blades/ claw blades textures. There is a good reason for this really. It's not that people haven't tried. They actually are very tricky to get working good for custom textures like my own Black/Red Blades. I had to do some very weird stuff to the normal map to get it to work in every map of the game and look correct, specifically with the blades.

HOWEVER, that is the explanation as to why there is a lack of that content.

As for misc model changes. I was wanting to try something goofy and make the spear into an alien tail since its mesh skeletons are pretty much identical xD imagine throwing an alien tail instead of a spear.

On another note, Sniper Elite V has the same RSCF Model flags as we do in AVP. if you know what that means, you know what it means.

Yes, I agree, the game can be improved greatly. It would be great if the Celtic mask or the disc looked like the Avp 2004 movie.

yea and no. You can switch out the actor you play as but they will lack a first person HUD if it is not an Alien,Human,Or Predator. You can even use the weapons that actor would use. If a server had such a mod loaded and supported it, you can even see and hear the sounds, damage them ,etc .

It's just the problem of the huds because they have special skeletons for supporting cameras, and missing heads for preventing clipping of camera.

it just glitches hardcore. the animations and camera related stuff for HSKL is what makes it awkward and glitchy and super deformed.

I've even tried forcing the proper HSKL the model would use and that does not work properly either.

This means I would need to make a special HUD model and the latter... HXXX Chunks for each case.

I think at some point i will complete C++ tool for taking an OBJ and JSON and making Models,HXXX/MARE data out of them,for custom models and animations and model related stuff.

I am a very busy person. i run a business and do other things. but i work on this stuff when i can. even when i have ample free time.

however, in the works, is :

- bunch of predator mask swaps.
- Pred_lord Model swap for body

- pred_lord mask remaster (it is already done actually)
looks great, i want to put emissions for the inscriptions and
eyes to make the first glowing textures as a mod for this game.

- possible new Emission textures. if I get this working, i can explain to the community how to do it. (emissions are glowing textures. EX. Predator Blood)

- prae -> warrior alien

- I cannot decide if i want to upload vanilla Pred_tech or do my own AMRO entry for it.

(Vanilla Pred_Tech is kinda useless, but still cool looking.)

for mimic voice are you talking about displaying an oscilloscope reading on the side of the screen of voices played? that would be really cool! I dont know if i would modify avp for this though.

I think their own is pre-ordained.

I could make a Direct X hook DLL that would read streamed sounds from ingame memory and display it as a GUI effect looking like an oscilloscope reading. that would take a little bit of time to do though but id do this using C++

Yes, it would be great if it was as the friend said, especially if the multiple visions and colors were the same as in the movie. Can you design the Predator armor like in the movie?

I would also suggest that it would be great if the disc design and the sound when ejecting and throwing the disc were like those in the Avp 2004 movie.

Also is it possible to make the predator laser aiming beam redder? Red color is good when target select but laser could be redder

a feature of this tool will be ChunkBMS, a thing i created that allows people to create their own chunks from raw data by specifying certain delimiters that tell my custom "compiler" how to write the data. It will work much like a quickbms script, however, you will be able to create chunk templates with this and edit it them pretty straightforward easy to understand. This way you dont need to go into hex editors to do anything.

Another feature is MARE editing.

The main feature is the asura archiving abilities.

another feature is a complete hash helper.
