Afterworld: Reapossession is a mature take on the adventure genre that lets the player make their own choices, and immerse themselves fully in its world. The urban fantasy setting allows for fresh interpretations of ancient mythology from a number of cultures, and creates a unique contemporary environment for the player to explore. The story weaves between planes of existence, taking the protagonist from the depths of Hell to a pocket demi-plane on the outer edges of reality. Let your hair down in the Garden of Eden, a Hellish haunt that’ll give anyone a night to regret, and search through an overgrown village with a tragic past, that has long since surrendered to the surrounding jungle. You travel to these exotic locations and more in your role as the Grim Reaper, harvesting notorious damned souls while trying to save countless others - and unravelling an age-old mystery in the process. The Cyan Llama Development Club is looking for a skilled environment artist to help us bring Afterworld: Reapossession to life!

Your creativity will be allowed free reign – we’re looking to create visually striking, highly detailed 2D environments. Pieces that would normally be reserved for the art book of a 3D game can shine in all their glory.

Afterworld: Reapossession is set in an alternate universe where the supernatural co-exists with the mundane, and we are looking to use these supernatural influences to great effect in the environments of the game.
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

- Skill in the digital medium of their choice (all files must be converted to .png)
- A desire to create beautiful and awe-inspiring vistas for the player to explore.
- The ability to take direction, and make tweaks as needed to accommodate the plot of the story.
- The ability to work in a team and listen to suggestions from members of other departments.

The Cyan Llama Development Club is a small group of like-minded individuals who want to create immersive, inclusive gaming experiences. We are not rigidly structured – if you want to try another role, such as programming or character art, then that is fine by us!

At this point, A:R will be released as a free game, so it follows that this is an unpaid position. This will be The Cyan Llama Development Club’s first IP, and we are looking to create a memorable experience that will help us forge a fanbase for future titles.

We use Skype to communicate, and Dropbox to share files.
Thank you very much for reading, and we hope to hear from you soon!
