A little script to inject custom GIM files (custom aircraft textures).
ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR - GIM INJECTOR SCRIPT
About:
A collection of scripts that were created to deal with the texture/livery injection part of the ACZ livery modding process.
Required tools:
-Have Python version 3.8.5 or newer installed in your computer.
-GIM files to inject
-An ISO file of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War:
- For NTSC-U users, the ISO file with the SLUS-21346 region code will be required.
- For NTSC-J users, the ISO file with the SLPS-25629 region code will be required.
- For PAL users, the ISO file with the SCES-54041 region code will be required.
Usage:
Place your Ace Combat Zero ISO file, GIM file to inject and the script in the same location (make sure the script matches with the region code of the ISO you want to mod). Run the script and follow the instructions shown in the screen.
Notes:
These scripts will only work with the original release of the games. Special versions such as reprinted (Best Hits/The Best), review copies or beta/demo ones have not been tested and I will neither offer support for them.
GIM files must be exactly 263216 bytes (roughly 257kb) in file size and have a proper GIM header, otherwise the script will refuse to inject it into the ISO file.
Make sure that you exit the script by typing the N letter when asked to continue the GIM injection process. If you exit the script by closing it before doing that the liveries will not be added to the ISO file.
The ACZ livery ID list excludes the numeric IDs for the F-15C/F-16C PIXY and PJ colors due to compatibility reasons.
