Free-to-play prototype of innovative text-based game that records unrecognised user input through which it improves the game.

Hi,

Aaron's Aardvark Adventure Zone is a game I've been working on for a while now, but it is time to release it into the world for all to see and prod at. It's available for Windows and Linux (and in the future for Macs, if Kickstarter funding is successful) at Aaazgame.co.uk for free so take a look.

The game tells the story of a man mysteriously transported to the titular aardvark-devoted theme park onset by the evil forces of a nefarious and jealous porcupine, whence one can travel to space, back in time and beyond the doors of death itself.

Through the amassing of user input a huge variety of commands are catered for. Though the game was only recently released to the public, it already has more than 500 basic commands where other text-based adventure games may have 50, as well as thousands of context-specific responses to bizarre input. Want to tickle sharks? You can try. Want to milk an aardvark? There's an appropriate response. Want to shake someone's hand? Ew, no, you're still soaking wet from when you tried to tickle the sharks.

If you want to show more support and get a load of sweet extras go to Kickstarter.com where there's more information about the game. Should the game get funded, it'll be expanded, ported to more platforms and perhaps even made open-source to allow you all to make similar games.

As a community-based game feedback is important, so tell me what you think!
